It’s a brand new year and I think it’s time to try my hand at this whole blogging thing again. So I’m blowing the dust off this old wordpress and I’m ready to start regaling you with tales of my life in all it’s exciting mediocrity. I understand that blogging with effectively no audience will be something akin to shouting into an empty room but even that can be kind of cathartic. If anything, this is going to be another daily writing exercise. It’ll serve as somewhere to post some of my smaller projects and a place to report progress to try and keep myself accountable.

I’ve written more in the past few months than I have in the past few years and I’m extremely proud of that. But I’m still not hitting the goals I set for myself. It’s funny how writing can be one of my most favorite things in the world and simultaneously something that gives me the most pushback. Forcing myself to sit down and write at least a little bit every single day is proving to be shockingly difficult. But the days I do overcome that hesitation are THE BEST. And I’m going to finish my first novel this year, no matter what it takes.

I’m making this site my home base! I’ll write about my progress, about the stuff I enjoy, (books, comics, cartoons, video games) and the things I experience. (travel, conventions, cosplay) And eventually I’ll post actual writing exercises. (once I get over the embarrassment of posting unpolished pieces in the public realm)

So that’s what you can expect from this blog! If you think this might be something that interests, or at least amuses you, then please, welcome aboard! I’m always looking to make new friends, chat about shared interests, and pick up whatever tips and tricks I can.

 Let’s get started!
